The student is expected to demonstrate clear understanding of how to construct an academic essay. This includes coherent structure, the effective use of sources, clear and fluent articulation, and substantiated arguments and conclusions.

 

2.    
The student is expected to demonstrate a strong level of comprehension in their specialised field of research. 

 

3.    
The student is expected to demonstrate the capacity to conduct strong critical analysis of their own. Including the ability to effectively engage with the relevant material to provide substantive commentary.

 

 

4.    
The student is expected to utilise appropriate sources and demonstrate the ability to effectively respond to the set question in a manner commensurate with the standards of a third-year student.
