Intelligence Testing Interpreting a Wechsler Profile
In this assignment, you will examine a hypothetical Wechsler Intelligence Scale for Children (WISC)
test profile and describe the strengths and weaknesses you would expect to observe in the examinee
during a typical school day.
Learning to competently administer, score and interpret intelligence tests such as the Wechsler and
StanfordBinet Scales requires months (if not years) of supervised training at the graduate level. This
assignment is not designed to teach you how to interpret tests; completion of this assignment will
not make you more qualified to administer, score and/or interpret actual intelligence tests. Rather, the
purpose of this assignment is to familiarize you with very basic concepts and procedures underlying
the use of intelligence test scores.
Directions
Examine Dominic’s WISC scores, presented below.
