1.general sense of Appalachian State’s campus: Is it walkable, welcoming, efficient? Is it legible? That is: From your visited vantage points and final sketching location, is it easy to understand where you are relative to the various destinations on campus? Is it obvious where you would head, for example, if you were a visitor looking for an administrative, dining, recreational or library building? Is there a distinct center to campus, and are there clear entry points and edges? 2. What features, design elements, landscaping or wayfinding (signs and maps) would you recommend for campus, for a more coherent and legible (that is, readable) built environment?
