You are providing MIS consulting services for a doctor’s office in Coral Gables Florida.You are to help advise this practice with the technology they need to use to be in line with the 2014 Law concerning “Electronic Health Care Records – EHR”. There are 5 physicians in the office, A G.P., G.I., Cardiologist, E.N.T., and O.B.Gyn.

You will need to research the Law, how many hospitals exist in the US, private and public, how many doctors, hwta type of software exists right now, if the software is accredited and licensed, which are the authorities that accredit the EHR software. In addition wh are the major players, how do they charge the practices, – by doctors in the office, by patients, free, by the month, how? What type of technology does this practice have or need?

You will need to write a paper explaining the EHR Law, the requirements, possible solutions and alternatives, the implications of non-compliance, funding, fixed costs and variable costs.
