However, the client would also like the writer to try and look at the different trajectories of political Islam in Tunisia and Egypt post-Arab Spring and explore to what extent the decision-calculus of the Islamist parties/forces in power was/is responsible for the success/failure of democracy in the respective countries. As far as Egypt is concerned, the narrative needs to be more far-reaching but it might be interesting to see whether and in how far Muslim Brotherhood/Freedom and Justice Party rule played a role in the ensuing coup.
